David L. Duren

Biography

David founded Circon Energy and leads it as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, driving the energy transition through the circular economy rather than around it. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of Relevant Solutions, LLC, a private-equity-backed global supplier of industrial, automation and production equipment solutions, with $250MM in revenue, 250+ employees and 18 locations. Over 36 months he grew revenue 5.1x (3.1x organic), expanded EBITDA margin from 1.5% to 11.7%, reduced Debt/EBITDA by 73%, and integrated six acquisitions.

Alongside Circon, he is Founder and Chairman of ReCO2, LLC, Circon’s technology affiliate advancing responsible waste conversion, and co-founder of Net Zero, LLC, which monetizes and scales renewable commodities and environmental credits. He also chairs the eAI Institute, a not-for-profit research institute applying artificial intelligence to environmental stewardship.

A native of Houston, David holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, where he guest lectures at the College of Engineering on leadership, sustainability and character. He has spoken at Salesforce’s Dreamforce Conference, Houlihan Lokey’s Global Industrial Conference, and the New York and North America Energy Capital Assemblies.

He serves as a Trustee of Covenant Theological Seminary, an independent board member and past Chair of Reformed Youth Ministries, Trustee and Governance Commissioner of Christ the King Presbyterian Church, and on the Leadership Council of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students.
